Knysna Quays‘Karibu’ is a desirable apartment directly on the waterfront at Knysna Quays on the famous ‘Garden Route’, in the Western Cape of South Africa. It offers visitors the ideal location to fully experience Knysna, ‘the jewel’ of the Garden Route. The apartment is ideally situated within easy walking distance to the shops and the two new malls.

Imagine relaxing by the waters edge, sipping ‘sundowners’ while the homecoming yachts glide by under glorious African sunsets before dining at one of the numerous local restaurants where fresh seafood is a speciality along with a variety of other dishes. Oysters are a local delicacy, freshly supplied by the oyster hatchery in the Knysna Lagoon.

Knysna Quays

Knysna is one of the Southern Cape coast’s best known holiday destinations, situated between lush forests and the shores of the peaceful lagoon – it offers many activities and attractions of a wide variety. The most well known attraction being the heads – two great sandstone cliffs guarding the mouth of the lagoon which connects the estuary with the sea. A lookout has been erected on the Eastern Head, commanding spectacular views of the lagoon, Leisure Isle and Knysna. The Western Head is a privately owned nature Reserve – Featherbed Bay. The Knysna Lagoon is one of the few places along the coast and in the world that supports an oyster hatchery. And the Knysna oysters are reputedly among the tastiest in the world.

‘Karibu’ (pronounced ‘Kareeboo’) is a small, stylish, luxury waterside apartment offered as a rental holiday accommodation by owner Pippa Jarman, and the comments in the Guest Book serve to prove its popularity. ‘Far exceeded expectations’ and ’How lucky we were to hear about this special oasis’ are typical of the remarks.

The apartment was recently completely re-decorated inside and out, has a second shower, and more subtle lighting throughout. There are two bathrooms, both of which have baths and showers.

We look forward to welcoming you to ‘Karibu’.
