Karibu has been used by many visitors as a rental holiday accommodation over the last few years, let by the owner Pippa Jarman, and the comments in the Guest Book serve to prove its popularity. ‘Far exceeded expectations’ and ’How lucky we were to hear about this special oasis’ are typical of the remarks.
Enter this two-bedroom ground floor apartment through a private sunny ‘Zen’ Courtyard and enjoy the stylish ‘Taste of Africa’ decor. The living areas comprise inter-connected dining space, fully equipped kitchen and a sitting room with a waterside view. Every home comfort has been thought of to make your stay special, including satellite TV, DVD, Hi-Fi, iPod dock, a ‘Top-Up’ local mobile phone and maid service one morning a week for ‘lets’ over 10 days in duration.
There are two bedrooms, one self-contained master suite with its own bath/shower/wc, and direct access to the verandah/stoep. Draw the curtains in the morning and watch the sun rise over the private canal. The second bedroom is twin-bedded and adjacent to its own bath/shower/wc room. Both bedrooms have excellent wardrobe space and comfortable beds!
The spacious veranda accommodates a wrought iron table and chairs, two sun loungers and a Weber coal barbeque, and the steps lead down to its own private Jetty.
The apartment was recently completely re-decorated inside and out with stylish decor and more subtle lighting throughout.
The double garage has room for two cars, even though it also houses a double canoe, and a tumble drier, all for our visitors’ use.
The barbecue is an ideal alternative to the wonderful local restaurants, and if you don’t want to cook or go out, phone ‘Marios’ for a home delivery of piping hot Italian Food!
